Note
Benito, the son of a fascist mayor, returns from the Russian campaign and rebels from his family to join a group of partisans.
Luciana, the daughter of a high-ranking fascist hierarch, escapes with him. When the Allies arrive, both families try to erase all traces of their fascist past with success.
Benito and Luciana manage to marry and name their first child Adam, symbolising a new beginning for everyone.
