Note

Dr. Castelli is an advertising executive at the Roman company 'Eurolat'. One day, while returning home early due to a car accident with Eleonora Rubens, a young Dutch woman abandoned by her husband, he discovers his American wife in an intimate moment with the plumber. This betrayal affects him deeply.

Castelli decides to seek help from the psychoanalyst Dr. Rossini, who prescribes him a period of rest in the mountains in Val Malenco, at the hut of Anselmo and Anita. The same psychoanalyst also sends Eleonora to the same place to help her overcome her emotional difficulties.

The two lonely hearts are destined to meet, but there are numerous misunderstandings and comical situations along the way. Before finding his way to Eleonora's heart, Alberto has encounters and adventures with other people, including Marisa, who visits Eleonora and decides to stay over in her room. Later, he even gets involved with the landlady, who is of imposing stature.

An accident during a skiing day brings Alberto and Eleonora together in an unusual and cold situation, from which they are rescued and taken to hospital. This event leads them to consider a marriage in extremis, which they enthusiastically accept once back in Rome.
