Gary and Phil, two brothers who are veterans of the Civil War, separate in search of a new opportunity in life. The former becomes a bounty hunter, working for McCory. When he is assigned to eliminate a man, the hunter discovers to his horror that his target is his own brother. Unable to complete this mission, Gary finds himself in a critical situation, but is suddenly rescued by McCory, who without hesitation kills both brothers. Gary miraculously manages to survive and decides to avenge Phil's death.
