Note

Antonio Cecconi, a young worker, arrives in Rome in search of work. Initially, he finds work as a waiter, but then adapts to become a bodybuilder in a posh residence. Unfortunately, he ends up becoming the object of pranks and abuse by an oddball bully.

Later, he tries his luck as a hairdresser and then as a porter, but is rejected by an ill-informed psychologist. He tries to enter the business world by advertising an electric washing machine, but is exploited by the local housewives.

Eventually, he gets a job as a night watchman in a dormitory, where, on New Year's Eve, he is targeted by shards and fireworks.
